An interstate gang involved in the supply of illegal firearms has been busted and two of its members arrested, Delhi Police said on Thursday.
Police said 20 illegal firearms and six cartridges were seized from gang leader Prem Pal Singh, who was arrested by Crime Branch officials from Najafgarh in south-west Delhi on Wednesday night.
"Following his questioning, Avnesh Babu, to whom the consignment was meant to be delivered, was apprehended on Thursday from Dwarka in south-west Delhi," said Joint Commissioner of Police Ravindra Yadav.
Both accused are residents of Uttar Pradesh.
