Rome, Feb 4 (IANS/AKI) An Italian priest has offered to bless users of smartphones, tablets, computers and laptops "to protect them from any harm these devices may bring".
Don Giorgio, parish priest of Citta di Castello in Umbria, on Wednesday offered the blessings to mark the Catholic feast of Saint Biagio which falls on February 3.
"The blessing is given to people who use modern technology such as mobile phones and computers, either for work or in their free time, so faith may protect them from any harm these devices may bring," the priest posted on Facebook.
"Just as agricultural tools used to be blessed, this new technology can be blessed to bring well-being to the faithful and their families," he added.
