Italian woman, son held for stealing half a tonne of peaches
Cosenza (Italy), Aug 9 (IANS/AKI) Police in southern Italy on Wednesday arrested woman and her son for stealing 460 kilogrammes of peaches from a local farmer.
Police nabbed the 63-year-old woman, F.Z., and her 43-year-old son, S.P., with the stolen fruit as they drove out of an orchard near the Calabrian town of Sibari, local newsite Gazzettadelsud.it reported.
The pair, who are both known to police, admitted taking the fruit, which was returned to its owner.
