Jammu and Kashmir Governor N.N. Vohra on Friday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi here and apprised him of the security situation in the state, sources said.
They said Vohra also apprised the Prime Minister of development works undertaken by the state government.

There has been a spate in militant attacks in Kashmir. A civilian driver was killed and three soldiers were injured on Thursday when militants ambushed their vehicle in the state's Shopian district.
Following the attack, security personnel had cordoned off some 20 villages in south Kashmir in a massive hunt for militants believed to be hiding in the area. The operation was called off after eight hours.
The government has also said that the armed forces will react appropriately to Monday's killing and mutilating of bodies of two Indian soldiers near the Line of Control by the Pakistani forces.
