English football club Crystal Palace captain Mile Jedinak and veterans Tim Cahill and Mark Bresciano will lead Australia's bid to win the 2015 AFC Asian Cup on home soil.
Coach Ange Posecoglou Tuesday unveiled a 23-man squad, reports Xinhua.
There are seven survivors from the last Asian Cup in Qatar in 2011 -- Cahill, Jedinak, Robbie Kruse, Matt McKay, Tommy Oar and Matthew Spiranovic.
Moreover, Nathan Burns, the leading scorer in the A-League this season, has also been included in the squad.
Posecoglou said that they had a series of objective games, particularly in terms of broadening the pool and seeing whether they could get some better balance in the squad and more depth.
The Australian team will assemble in Melbourne for a pre-tournament training camp.
They will face Kuwait in the opening match of the tournament in Melbourne Jan 9.
