Jet Airways Thursday said its senior management will meet the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to discuss the ambiguity in some of the existing regulations and will look closely into the findings in a recent audit concerning the airline.
"Some of the audit findings have resulted due to a lack of clarity in the regulatory interpretation of the processes. The airline's senior management will meet the director general and his team to discuss the ambiguity in some of the existing regulation and will work closely with DGCA to close all the findings," the airline said.
The development comes as the aviation regulator last week issued a show cause notice to 131 pilots of the Jet Airways for not clearing the mandatory bi-annual proficiency check.
The DGCA asked the pilots why their licences should not be suspended for not clearing their Pilot Proficiency Check (PPC) tests.
The DGCA's show cause notice was also issued to the airline's chief training officer which questioned the pilot's training program.
The notices were issued after an audit of the airline's training program was conducted by a three-member DGCA team.
The audit was ordered after one of the airline's aircraft plunged nearly 5,000 feet over the Turkish airspace on the Brussels-Mumbai route last month.
When contacted a Jet Airways spokesperson denied being issued such a show cause notice by the DGCA.
