The monsoon session of the Jharkhand legislative assembly will begin from August 21, an official said on Tuesday.
"The state cabinet gave its approval to 21 issues. The cabinet decided that the monsoon session will begin on August 21 and end on August 28," cabinet secretary N.N. Pandey told reporters.
He said the cabinet decisions include renaming of the State Vigilance Bureau as the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).
Seven new vigilance police stations will also come up in the state, which will be headed by officials of superintendent of police rank.
The strength of the Anti-Corruption Bureau will be increased from the exiting 350 to 608. Those people posted in the ACB would get 25 percent of their basic salary as promotion allowance.
