Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone on Wednesday called up 18 players including right-back Juanfran Torres, who has only recently recovered from a hamstring injury, for the upcoming UEFA Europa League match between Atletico Madrid and Sporting Lisbon.
Juanfran, 33, tore his left hamstring last month during Sporting's 5-1 Europa League round of 16 victory over Lokomotiv Moscow, reports Efe.
"(Juanfran) will be available for selection for this Thursday's match against Sporting CP in Wanda Metropolitano," the La Liga club said in a statement.
France forward Antoine Griezmann and Spain left winger Vitolo were also among coach Diego Simeone's list.
Atletico Madrid is to take on Sporting Lisbon in the first leg of the Europa League quarterfinals in Madrid on Thursday.
