A court here on Saturday extended by 14 days the judicial remand of six accused in the Udhampur terror attack of August 5 in which two BSF men had been killed.

"The NIA (National Investigation Agency) team produced the six accused, including the Pakistani LeT (Lashkar-e-Taiba) terrorist, Muhammad Naveed, before the court in Jammu today," a senior police officer told IANS.

"The court extended the judicial custody of all the six accused by another 14 days".

Two Pakistani LeT terrorists, Muhammad Naveed of Faisalabad and Noman, had attacked a BSF bus on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway in Udhampur district of Jammu on August 5.

Two BSF troopers were killed in the terror attack while 11 other troopers were injured.

Noman was also killed in the ensuing gunfight while Naveed had escaped to a nearby village, only to be overpowered by the villagers and handed over to the police.

The case was handed over to the NIA for investigation.

Naveed's custodial interrogation led to the arrest of five persons from the Kashmir valley who had allegedly helped the two terrorists travel in a truck to Udhampur along with their weapons.
