Italian Serie A leaders Juventus beat Sampdoria 4-2 at home to extend to 12 their record of consecutive victories.
Arturo Vidal scored twice, including a penalty, and Fernando Llorente and Paul Pogba were also on target for the hosts Saturday. Andrea Barzagli scored an own goal and striker Manolo Gabbiadini found the net for Sampdoria in the second half, reports Xinhua.
Juventus picked up the three points to maintain their eight-point advantage at the top over AS Roma, who beat Livorno 3-0 earlier in the day.
Juventus head coach Antonio Conte praised Sampdoria for coming to attack Juventus.
"I think we did well to prepare this game the right way, otherwise it would' ve been really tough to beat Sampdoria," he said.
"It's a shame, as we have to work on the fact most of their chances -- and those scored by Cagliari last week - came from corners. We cannot dominate games and always have this anxiety from set plays," he added.
