The DMK party Friday retained its party leadership, re-electing M. Karunanidhi as its president, his son M.K. Stalin as treasurer and K. Anbazhagan as general secretary.
The three were elected unanimously at the party's general council.
Similarly, Karunanidhi's daughter and Rajya Sabha member Kanimozhi was elected as the party's women's wing secretary.
Senior leader Duraimurugan was elected as the principal secretary, a newly created post.
The party passed a resolution to hold a rally and submit to the governor a memorandum listing out the scams during the AIADMK rule in Tamil Nadu and demanding an inquiry commission.
The DMK passed another resolution urging the central government to focus on development.
