One person was killed and seven people were injured on Thursday when a taxi plunged into a river on the Jammu-Srinagar highway, police said.
The accident took place at Gangroo in Ramban district when the driver lost control over the vehicle. The taxi skidded off the road and dropped into a deep gorge, a police officer told IANS.
The vehicle was on its way to Jammu from the Kashmir Valley.
