The Marshall High School in southwest Kentucky, the US, reopened on Friday after police finished processing the scene following a bloody shooting rampage.

A 15-year-old student came to the school on Tuesday morning with a handgun. He shot dead two classmates and injured 18 others.

Citing Television channel WPSD-6, Xinhua reported that parents were allowed to join an assembly in the school gymnasium with their kids.

Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin also attended a special event on Friday morning to support Marshall County community.

On Thursday, a juvenile court judge ordered to keep detaining the teenage shooter as prosecutors were gathering evidence to support trying him as an adult, said Assistant Marshall County Attorney Jason Darnall.

Prosecutors would recommend the suspect be charged with two counts of murder and 12 counts of 1st degree assault.
