Kerala Police chief Loknath Behra on Thursday said the probe in the kidnapping of a popular Malayalam film actress was progressing in the right direction.
"We will try our best to submit the chargesheet before 90 days. We have got the necessary evidences and we are trying to get more evidence," Behra told the media.
The actress was kidnapped on February 17 night while on her way to Kochi from Thrissur. She was held hostage for over two hours before being freed.
The police have arrested all six accused involved in the crime including mastermind Pulsar Sunil. A court sent them to police custody till Friday.
Behra refused to divulge more details.
"I won't speak on the process of investigation. We will soon conduct a review of the probe," he said.
