The framework agreement for 'Taurus Downtown Technopark', the Rs.1,200 crore IT/ITeS investment project in Technopark Phase III, was signed between Technopark and the US-based project investors Taurus on Wednesday.
This project is envisaged to provide 25,000 direct IT jobs and was inked in the presence of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Erik R Rijnbout, president of Taurus Investment Holdings LLC USA, Ajay Prasad, country managing director of Taurus India and Technopark CEO K G Girish Babu.
The Taurus Downtown Technopark project will come up on 19.73 acres of land sanctioned by the government on a 90 year lease to Taurus.
In addition to IT infrastructure, the project will also have retail space, hotels and an innovation zone with state-of-the-art plug and play office facility for start-ups and small businesses.
