Kerala Police will soon launch a Cyberdome to deal with the increasing number of cyber crimes and tackling traffic woes, a police official said on friday.
"This is the first such venture to be set up in the public-private partnership (PPP) domain. The office is expected to be ready very soon and we expect to open the Cyberdome in a month's time," said Manoj Abraham, Inpector General of Kerala Police.
At the Cyberdome, while Kerala Police will source all the hardware equipments, for the software various companies are expected to chip in and the costs will be shared between the participating companies.
"Through this Cyberdome we expect not only to tackle the cyber crimes but also provide quick solutions to the traffic problems," added Abraham.
The Cyberdome will also act as the nodal centre for policing the social networking sites and for awareness campaigns by the police.
