Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has extended her support to actress Kelly Rutherford to help get her children back.
On Tuesday, Kim signed a petition to "implore the Obama administration to return Kelly Rutherford's children safely to the USA", reports aceshowbiz.com.
Rutherford has been in bitter six-year international custody battle with her ex-husband Daniel Giersch.
According to the petition, Rutherford's children "were forced by a California judge to live in France with their German father, (nobody is French) after he claimed his US visa was revoked, and he could not enter the US".
Giersch had earlier filed papers seeking to strip Rutherford of all her parental rights.
The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star took to her micro-blogging website Twitter to extend her support.
She tweeted: "I usually don't get involved in other people's lives especially if I don't know them but this story I've been following & as a mom touched me. I signed this petition bc I believe it's the right thing to do & if u believe in it please sign it @KellyRutherford."
The 34-year-old Kim followed it up: "I know I don't know you @KellyRutherford but as a mom I feel your pain and I wish you the best of luck! I hope you see your babies soon!"
Rutherford then replied to Kim: "@KimKardashian I am in tears. Thank you so much! From me and my kids!"
"@KellyRutherford you're so welcome! I'm so happy my mom @KrisJenner brought your story to my attention! Good luck to you!!!!," Kim added.
Kim's mother Kris Jenner also showed her support for Rutherford, tweeting: "#childrensrights #wecandothis Please sign the petition 4 the White House 2 help bring @KellyRutherford kids home."
Rutherford's "Gossip Girl" co-star Ed Westwick also posted a photograph of them along with caption: "This is my friend @KellyRutherford. You (yes, you) have the power to help her get her kids back."
