Defending Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have garnered 1 million Twitter followers.
Confirming the number, KKR's CEO Venky Mysore tweeted: "Another milestone for @KKRiders 1 M followers! Can't thank all our fans and followers enough. #Go4More."
"1 Million KKRians on twittera" was also the trending topic on the social network site on Tuesday.
"I hope they are gonna to win millions hearts by defending their crown of #ipl #korbolodbojeetbore @KKRiders," tweeted Sandeep, a KKR fanatic.
Also showing her support for the men in purple and gold, Anjali, whose handle reads AnjaliSpeaks posted: "1 Million KKRians on Twitter ,So proud,Soon we will take over Chennai!!!@KKRiders @iamsrk."
The defending champions have had a fair start to the season after having won the first but then losing out to Royal Challengers Bangalore in their second game.
