Former German striker Miroslav Klose will play for one more season at Lazio in Italian Serie A.
Klose, who is the highest goalscorer in the history of the FIFA World Cup with 16 strikes, arrived at Lazio in 2011 from German giants Bayern Munich. He has scored 47 goals in 115 games of Serie A, reports xinhua.
"It is a decision I took with my heart," said the striker, who turns 37 on Tuesday. "My family and I feel very well in Rome and at Lazio."
According to his contract with Lazio, if he had 20 or more appearances in the last season, he would extend his contract till the end of next season.
The German has retired from the German national team after being part of the squad which won the World Cup in 2014. Klose also played in the 2002, 2006 and 2010 World Cups.
