Jacques Kallis made 72 and Manish Pandey 64 as Kolkata Knight Riders reached a competitive 163 for five in 20 overs against Mumbai Indians in the opening match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium here Wednesday.
Kallis smashed five fours and three sixes in his whirlwind 46-ball knock while Pandey hit six fours and two sixes in his 53-ball innings.
Lasith Malinga was again the pick of the Mumbai Indians bowlers, bagging four for 23.
