Belgium coach Marc Wilmots has replaced reserve goalkeeper Koen Casteels in his 23-man squad for the 2014 World Cup, the country's Football Federation announced.
Sammy Bossut, 28, of Zulte-Waregem will fill in for Casteels who failed to recover in time from a leg fracture incurred in early April playing for his club Hoffenheim, reported Xinhua.
While the deadline for submitting the final 23-man squad list to FIFA was June 2, it is allowed to make a replacement due to injury up to 24 hours before the tournament starts June 12.
Belgium has been drawn in group H and will face Russia, Algeria and South Korea in the World Cup.
