Some unidentified men allegedly abducted a Kolkata-based businessman from Odisha's Jharsuguda district, said police on Friday.
According to police, businessman Pratik Patodia was allegedly abducted from Beramahal in Jharsuguda while he was on his way towards Kirei, where he owns a spinning mill.
His abandoned car and his sunglasses were seen at the spot where he is believed to have been abducted from, said police.
Police have inspected the spot and have begun investigations.
The Odisha-Chhattisgarh border has also been sealed to prevent the abductors from fleeing to the neighbouring state.
