Paris, May 27 (IANS/RIA Novosti) FC Kuban was named Russia's most attended football team for the second season running after boasting sell-out crowds for many games.
Kuban's average attendance of 20,934 is no mean feat in the Russian Premier League, which is plagued by sparse crowds at many fixtures as fans opt to watch games on TV.
Second place went to Terek Grozny, averaging home crowds of 20,005, with third place given to Spartak Moscow on 17,365.
Matches featuring Spartak, home or away, were the most attended in the league with average crowds of almost 20,000.
