Luke Kleintank joins 'The Goldfinch'

Actor Luke Kleintank is set to join the ensemble cast in a movie adaptation of the book "The Goldfinch".

Actor Ansel Elgort will portray Theo and "Dunkirk" actor Aneurin Barnard is Boris in the film, to be directed by John Crowley. Kleintank will play Platt Barbour, the older brother of Theo's friend Andy, reports variety.com.

Based on Donna Tartt's Pulitzer Prize-winning book, "The Goldfinch" follows a young man named Theodore Decker who survives a terrorist bombing at an art museum - an attack that kills his mother. From there, he tumbles through a series of adventures that finds him living in Las Vegas with his deadbeat father and, later, involved in art forgeries.

It is being backed by entertainment company Warner Bros and Amazon Studios.

While Warner Bros will distribute the film in theatres worldwide, Amazon Studios will launch it on home entertainment platforms.
