NRI businessman M.A.Yusuff Ali, the managing director of LuLu Group of Companies, on Wednesday donated Rs.1 cr to the third edition of the mega art event Kochi-Muziris Biennale (KMB).
LuLu Group director M.A. Nishad handed over the cheque to Kochi Biennale Foundation president Bose Krishnamachari here on Wednesday.
Ali said KMB has made India proud in the international arena.
"The Biennale is a vast canvas where art transcends boundaries with the participation of international artists. Promoting such an event will help boost Kerala's cultural tourism," he said.
Krishnamachari said that Ali's passionate support to sustain the Biennale as an event of India's cultural pride was "remarkable".
