Lyca Productions, the makers of superstar Rajinikanth's Tamil sci-fi action drama "2.o", has denied it has got the theatrical rights of Dhanush-starrer Tamil political drama "Kodi".
"We are not associated with 'Kodi'. Contrary to reports, we haven't bagged its theatrical rights. Any news regarding the collaboration is just a rumour," a representative from Lyca told IANS.
Lyca has five projects on their slate.
"Our forthcoming releases are 'Vetrivel', 'Ennaku Innoru Peru Irukku', 'Yaman', yet-untitled Kamal Haasan project with director Rajeev Kumar and filmmaker Shankar's magnum opus '2.o'," the source said.
Lyca, who made a splash with Vijay-starrer Tamil blockbuster "Kaththi" in 2014, ventured into distribution with National award-winning Tamil film "Visaaranai" and "Naanum Rowdy Dhaan".
