President Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday said contributions made by the alumni of the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) would result in the productive development of the great organisation.

Addressing a group of alumni of ISI at the Rashtrapati Bhavan here, he said that ISI was a leading institution in the country for research, teaching and application of statistics, natural sciences and social sciences and the alumni as a body can contribute substantially in its development.

"I wish the attachment of the alumni of ISI to their alma mater would result in the productive development of this great organization."

"Most of the world famous educational institutions have developed as a result of the contribution of their alumni," he added.
