The decomposed body of a 30-year-old man was found in a car parked inside a crowded market here Monday, police said.
The body was found around 4 p.m. from the car parked in the Sector 17 market in Rohini area of north Delhi.
Police said they were yet to identify the man as no identity card was found in his possession. However, the car's owner was identified from the vehicle's papers.
A police official said the deceased might be the son of the car owner, Prahlad Singh, who had registered a complaint at the Kanjhawala police station July 25, saying his son has gone missing.
Police suspect it to be a case of murder.
"The reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained as the body was highly decomposed," said a police official.
Prahlad Singh has been asked to identify the body, the official said.
