A man working as a driver in Ghaziabad shot his wife dead on Monday, police said.
Asif shot his 26-year-old wife Shahnaz around 2 p.m. in Tulsi Niketan residential colony in Sahibabad.
Shahnaz -- who married Asif four years ago -- had filed a police complaint a week ago saying he had threatened to kill her.
After filing the complaint, she went to her parents' house in Trilokpuri area in east Delhi. She came to her house in Tulsi Niketan on Monday to meet her ailing brother-in-law.
When she was sitting with her brother-in-law and his wife, her husband barged into the house, pulled out a locally-made pistol from his pocket and fired at her head.
She collapsed on the spot and was taken to a hospital where she was declared dead.
A case has been registered, said Inspector Upendra Yadav of the Sahibabad police station.
