A 35-year-old employee of a businessman was stabbed to death by four unidentified men when he resisted a robbery bid here, police said Tuesday.
Dilip Kumar, a native of Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, was stabbed by the men when he was on duty at a manufacturing unit in Sadar Bazar area in north Delhi, Monday night.
Kumar's employer Naresh Dhingra told police that he was walking towards his car when four men overpowered him at knife point and tried to snatch his bag.
"On hearing the commotion, Kumar and another employee came to the rescue of Dhingra. In the melee, the men stabbed Kumar and fled," said a police officer.
Kumar was rushed to the hospital where doctors declared him dead.
