English football giants Manchester United are reportedly trying to sign Borussia Dortmund's Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in an offer estimated at 75 million euros ($85 million).
The Red Devils, according to the Mirror, want to strengthen its squad next season amid rumours of Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho taking the helm, reports Efe.
According to the newspaper, Manchester United have held secret talks with representatives of the player to convince him to play in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, sports daily AS reported that the Gabonese striker is also being targeted by Real Madrid, from which Dortmund has asked 100 million euros ($111 million) to sell his services.
Aubameyang, 26, has scored 35 goals in 40 games with Borussia Dortmund so far this season, making him second on the list of the Bundesliga's top goal scorers, behind Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski.
