A constable suffered two fractures on Thursday after being hit by a car driven by men who were making obscene remarks at women pedestrians, police said.
The incident occurred near the Pacific Mall opposite Anand Vihar where two policemen were on patrol to ensure women's safety.
They noticed two young men singing obscene songs at women. Constable Jeetpal Singh tried to nab them.
To escape, the men accelerated their car, knocking down the constable. He was rushed to the Yashoda Hospital.
"The constable sustained two fractures," Superintendent of Police Akash Tomar told the media.
The attackers were arrested by a police patrol near Bhushan Steels Ltd.
