Serbian attacking midfielder Adem Ljajic on Friday said he wants to stay at Italian club Inter Milan.
The Serbian international is on loan to Inter from AS Roma, but it's not certain he'll stay there beyond this season.
"I hope to stay at Inter but it's still too soon to say," Ljajic was quoted as saying by football-italia.net.
"What matters is the team plays well. The management will make that call but I'd like to stay and I hope I can. I get on really well with my team-mates and the coach, first and foremost we've got a great group."
Ljajic said he has a good relationship with the fans and urged them to come out in numbers and support the club.
"I've got a good relationship with the supporters, just like with all my team-mates. Football wouldn't exist without them, the sport is made for the fans. I hope they come and cheer us on every weekend," he said.
Inter won their first Serie A game in four outings on Thursday night against Chievo and Ljajic hopes it will reignite their title hopes.
"You go through tough times in football. Other clubs' form dropped off a bit over the first three or four months and it's happened to us recently," he said.
"We must keep working well in training every day to come through it. I hope yesterday's victory can help to spark a winning run."
"Lots of teams close down the space well against us and we have to find a way of winning games."
