Chilean footballer Fabian Orellana has extended his contract with Spanish club Celta Vigo until June 30, 2019.
Orellana was the sixth most active player last season of the team led by Argentinian Eduardo Berizzo, after keeper Sergio Alvarez, defenders Cabral and Andreu Fontas and midfielders Krohn-Dehli and Nolito, Efe reported on Tuesday.
The midfielder joined Celta Vigo on loan in 2011, scoring 13 goals and assisting 11 others, before returning to Granada, where he had very limited participation,.
Celta got him again in 2013, though Luis Enrique, the then coach of Celta Vigo, did not use him as a starter and announced the possibility of his move.
Orellana preferred to stay with Vigo, and with the arrival of current coach Berizzo, the 29-year-old became a key player.
