Minor crushed by speeding car, juvenile held

A juvenile was held on Thursday on the charge of crushing to death a minor boy playing near his residence in Palam area of west Delhi, police said.

Police said Deepak, aged two and a half, was playing when the speeding car crushed him on Wednesday afternoon. He was taken to a nearby hospital but declared brought dead, a police officer said.

The mother standing nearby noted down the car's registration number. Police investigation found that the car was driven by the juvenile residing in the same locality. He was arrested from his residence.
