Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tuesday condoled the deaths caused by cyclone Hudhud which hit Andhra Pradesh's Visakhapatnam city and other coastal areas Sunday.
"We stand shoulder to shoulder with our sisters and brothers suffering due to cyclone Hudhud. Their tragedy and grief is as much ours," the prime minister said in a tweet.
"I offer my deepest condolences to all those who lost their near and dear ones. May Almighty give them all the strength to bear this loss," he added.
The severe cyclonic storm hit the coast Sunday claiming 21 lives in Andhra and leaving a trail of destruction.A
