Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Haryana on Thursday to lay foundation stones of three road projects. Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi will be in neighbouring Punjab on the same day to visit the families of victims of the recent police firing in Faridkot district.
Modi will visit Haryana's Sonipat district to lay the foundation stone of three crucial highways, including the Western Peripheral Expressway and the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
He will also address a public rally on the occasion.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and all state ministers are expected to be present at the event.
Rahul Gandhi will be visiting neighbouring Punjab where he will meet the families of two men killed in alleged police firing on protesters in Behbal Kalan village in Faridkot district last month.
The protests were against recent incidents of sacrilege of the Guru Granth Sahib in Punjab.
