BJP leader Narendra Modi will address a rally in Uttarpara of Hooghly district April 27 during his third visit to West Bengal.
"Modi will address a rally in Uttarpara on Sunday in support of our two candidates from the region -- Bappi Lahiri and Chandan Mitra," state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Rahul Sinha said Thursday.
Famed Bollywood music composer Lahiri is contesting from the Sreerampur Lok Sabha constituency while Mitra, a journalist, is in the fray from Hooghly.
Modi kicked off his party's election campaign in the state with a rally at the Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata Feb 5.
He later followed it up with another rally in Siliguri of Darjeeling district April 10 where he attacked the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress government in the state.
