Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) MP Chirag Paswan on Tuesday said that Prime Minister Narendra Midi will be the NDA's face in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls in Bihar, not Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Two days after JD-U leaders Pawan Verna and K.C. Tayagi claimed that Nitish Kumar will spearhead the NDA challenge next year, Chirag Paswan, son of LJP President and Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, rejected the possibility.

He said the National Democratic Alliance would contest the next Lok Sabha polls under Modi's leadership and seek votes in Modi's name.

"The Lok Sabha election will be fought in Modi's name," he told the media.
