City heavyweights Mohammedan Sporting were held to a 1-1 draw by Aryan FC in a Calcutta Football League (CFL) premier division tie here on Friday.
Kazeem Amobi gave Aryan the lead, but Sourav Mallik equalised for Sporting a few minutes later at the Barasat Stadium.
Sporting thus ended their campaign with 14 points from 10 games, whereas Aryan are on 12 points with a match to go.
Eighteen minutes into the game, Amobi found the opener as he calmly tucked the ball in.
In the 34th minute, Sporting restored parity courtesy of the Mallik strike. The midfielder fired in from close range after receiving the ball from a corner.
