Mohammedan Sporting beat Pathachakra Club in pre-season game

Mohammedan Sporting SC beat newly promoted Calcutta Premier Division side Pathachakra Club 1-0 in a pre-season game at the Kalyani Municipal Sports Complex here on Sunday.

India striker Manandeep Singh scored the winner in the 26th minute.

Manandeep dribbled into the area from the left, outwitted two Pathachakra defenders who were anticipating a cross from his right foot, only to fire home with his left to give Mohammedan SC the lead.

At halftime it was 1-0, and it remained so at the final whistle as Mohammedan Sporting spurned several chances towards the end.
