Bundesliga side Monchengladbach and coach Lucien Favre have agreed on a two-year contract extension.
The Swiss coach, whose contract was dated until 2015, will stay with the "Foals" until 2017, reports Xinhua.
"Lucien had done an outstanding job in the past three years. He led us from relegation battle into the UEFA Europa League. Our journey is not yet over. We are looking forward to our further cooperation," Monchengladbach's sporting director Max Eberl said Wednesday.
The "Foals" currently occupy eighth place in the standings with 36 points out of 24 games.
