Rabat, Dec 5 (IANS/MAP) Moroccan and Spanish security services arrested four people suspected of recruiting and sending fighters to the Islamic State (IS) group, the Moroccan Interior Ministry said on Tuesday.
In a joint operation, three suspects were arrested in the Spanish cities of Madrid and Girona and another in the northern Moroccan city of Tangier, the Ministry said in a statement.
Morocco and Spain have close security coordination, especially in counter-terrorism, as they have jointly busted several terror networks active in both countries.
The arrestees were also suspected of glorifying IS terror attacks and inciting such attacks outside IS-controlled territories, the statement added.
The person arrested in Morocco will be brought before court after the public prosecutor's office completes its investigation.
