Mother kills children, self in UP

A woman on Tuesday laced the milk of her three children with poison killing them before consuming it herself in Auraiyya in Uttar Pradesh, police said.

An official told IANS that Rani gave the killer drink to Mithilesh, 8, Ram Kanhaiyya, 5, and Upasana, 3 and then drank it in Amritpur village.

While Rani's in-laws told police that the poison was mixed by mistake, the woman's parents alleged foul play after which the in-laws were taken into custody. Her husband Ram Chander works in Delhi.
