Parts of Delhi saw a brief spell of rain Friday afternoon but the weather remained muggy. The Met office has forecast very light rain Saturday.
While the maximum temperature was recorded two notches above average at 36 degrees Celsius, the humidity wavered between a high of 87 percent and a low of 52 percent. The minimum temperature was a notch above average at 25.8 degrees.
"The skies will be cloudy tomorrow (Saturday) and some parts of the city will get light rain," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD)
The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 36 and 26 degrees Celsius.
He said the city received traces of rainfall Friday afternoon.
"There was traces of rainfall, which was non measurable," the IMD official said.
Since the monsoon's arrival, Delhi has got 786.7 mm of rain.
