Fourth seeded Spanish tennis player Garbine Muguruza snatched a painstaking victory against Russian Daria Kasatkina to advance to the quarter-finals of the Brisbane International on Tuesday.
The French Open champion, ranked seventh in the women's singles rankings, needed almost three hours to win 7-5, 3-6, 7-6 (9-7), reports Efe.
Despite having her serve broken at the beginning of each set, Muguruza managed to make a comeback.
Although she was down 0-2 in the third and decisive set, the Spaniard finally managed to win it in a tie-break.
