Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said his US visit demonstrates the "extraordinary depth and diversity" of the bilateral relationship and a lot of ground has been covered in his five-day stay in the US.
In a series of tweets, before leaving for India, Modi thanked the American people for their warm welcome and hospitality.
"My USA visit demonstrates the extraordinary depth and diversity of our relationship. A lot of ground has been covered in these few days," Modi tweeted.

"I got the opportunity to attend a wide spread of programmes, each of which generated many positive outcomes that will benefit India.
"I shared my thoughts on key global issues at the @UN & also met many world leaders to strengthen India's ties with the global community.
"My gratitude to the American people for the very warm welcome & the hospitality wherever my delegation & I went," the prime minister posted.
