Naik takes charge as culture minister

Shripad Yesso Naik took charge Tuesday as the culture minister in the BJP-led government.

"The minister was briefed on the key initiatives and policy framework of the ministry by secretary (Culture) and other senior officials," a statement said.

Naik succeeds Chandresh Kumari Katoch.
