The Namibian cricket team will face England here on Wednesday in the play-off for place 5-8 positions after being defeated by India in the quarter-final of the Under-19 World Cup on Saturday.
India will play the semi-finals against Sri Lanka as Namibia got eliminated from the tournament. The African team had impressed by winning against Scotland as well as defending champions South Africa in the group phase, reports Xinhua.
Namibia faced an in-form India in the quarter-final but could not chase down the mammoth target of 349 set by India, and lost by 197 runs.
Namibia will now face England, who also lost their quarterfinal to Sri Lanka. The two will lock horns at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium.
