Spanish football clubs Barcelona and Sevilla will play their second leg in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey next Wednesday and Thursday against Valencia and Celta Vigo respectively.
The two matches are a forgone conclusion after Barcelona thrashed Valencia 7-0 in the first leg while Sevilla stunned Celta Vigo 4-0, reports Efe.
Barcelona will be heading to Mestalla on Wednesday in what seems a picnic after the wide victory at Camp Nou, which will probably deprive the second leg in Valencia of any possible excitement.
This match provides a chance for Barcelona coach Luis Enrique to break the record of former coach Pep Guardiola, who lasted for 29 no-lose games after which the way will be paved for the 'Blaugrana' to defend their Cup title in a rather guaranteed final.
As for Valencia, Wednesday's match is a chance to boost their morale, especially when there is technically nothing to lose, amid heavy criticism from their supporters due to the team's downhill performance.
In Vigo, Sevilla will seek to confirm their distinction against the hosts, who will try to convince themselves that everything is possible, even a potential painstaking comeback by a group known for its perseverance.
During the first half of La Liga, Celta Vigo thrashed Barca 4-0 -- a lesson that Sevilla has to learn before Thursday.
Technically, Barcelona and Sevilla are expected to repeat their beautiful football piece at the very beginning of the current season at the European Super Cup, which Barcelona won 5-4.
